OK, just for Stu's benefit, I'll start with the self criticism......... Gutted that I let in the first! I foolishly assumed the striker was going to take another couple of strides before shooting, and was moving towards the near post in antici........pation. Instead he shot across the face of the goal and I couldn't compensate. Second goal - well I think I did well to get a hand to it, but thought I'd done enough to turn it around the post, so was annoyed that it snuck in. Third goal? Hmm........ all I'll say is........ hmm..... nah, I'll just say it wasn't my fault. Overall though, I think I had a good game, and even the Ref thought so :-) Shame my clean sheet has blown away with the wind.....
OK, so we lost. We played well, but the deciding factor was their fitness and the ground they covered. Every attack of ours, they piled back to defend. Every attack of their's, they swept forward. We should have won, but didn't......

Think you've put it well there dave. I'll put my hands up and confess i didn't get back as much as i could of done which left gaps at the back and as a result they exploited us early on. It took us until half time to get started and we shown in the second half that we are a good side that can cause opppositon problems when we work.
Next week can't quick enough for myself. Play like we did in the second half and we'll be sitting with 6 points this time next week

Overall a good performance I thought. Couple of mistakes that in the end cost us but that's the way it goes. More often than not you get away with it, last night we got punished.
Pleased with the way we stuck at it, especially second half. Some brilliant passing football.
Good movement, good support and a lot of effort.
Cut them to pieces and so unlucky in the end not to at least get a point.

gotta hold my hands up at the third goal like - nothing more i can say. i honestly thought he was going to get nowhere near the ball and still couldn't believe it when the ball was in the back of the net - suppose this is why i wear glasses at work! the problem was i rushed the throw in as i didn't want to stop play slowing down. should've really taken a couple of extra seconds and gone for an easy throw. apart from that though thought i didn't play too bad, tried to make up for it with a goal which went agonisingly wide!
only thing i will say is that in the last 5 minutes there were time when it seemed like we were the ones winning as we seemed to doing things like passing it all the way back to the keeper when at times when there was no need.
anyway i am gutted i can not redeem myself. it looks like i will be definitely unavailable for the next 2 weeks, and POSSIBLY 3. sorry boys. i am expecting to come back to a team that is top of the table though on 12 points - no pressure!
