A big game next week against Legends. I will keep you all up to date with "Knee Watch" this week. At best, though, I can only promise to stand in front of the goal and fall over in a controlled way (rather than diving) to the left, when required. It will be worth having an extra player just in case even that is too much for me.

Getting in the mood now.
Let's keep our heads tonight. Take it easy, keep it simple, give us change to weigh them up we'll get "into the groove" and see what they're about... we know they're going to be good. We can usually hold the ball up pretty well and pull off some good moves if supported by runs from midfield / defence. If it's relatively the same team, they're younger, smaller lads. Fitter, but we should have the strength advantage so lets shake them up a bit.

Just thought I'd fill you all with confidence, I'm not partaking in the every other week ritual burger king before our match as we have lost every time I have done this. Instead I have brought along a healthy pack lunch with all the nutrients to give me the energy for 25 minutes of non-stop running

Game of 2 halves what more can I say
Dave Atkinson
Corkers looked good first half, defending well, playing the ball well and going 1-0 up. Discipline was our undoing in two senses, though. Letting their dirty niggling play get to us, and not providing enough cover for Stu in goal, allowing him to be overcome in the second half, despite several good saves and generally good positioning.

bunch of n0bs what more can I say!
it was the same as last time when we went down a man - we totally lost it, although this time it was totally unjistified. it's not easy having to cover more of the pitch especially after 15 minutes when everyone's kn@ckered as it is. The thing was they had the "best player on the pitch so were allowed to do what they wanted" (pr1ck!)
looks like they'll be up anyway so won't have to put up with it again. at least there's not much in it between us and 2nd/3rd.
Andrew Little
I don't know about anyone else but i'd love to play them again so lets get our act together, win our remaining games and hope 21 points is enough to get us up
David Jones
The game just turned into a joke. We started well and created the best play first half. You're right about the discipline to a certain extent but when playing against that little goofy lad who is punching and kicking at everyone, deliberately running through you, then trying to square up to you when he's half the size of you it starts to seriously boil your p1ss. It would have been more appropriate to laugh at him sitting here now the next day, without doubt, it's easy to sat that and I wish we could have kept quiet and if totally necessary just stick the shoulder through him in one of those "50 50" situations.... but at the time I wanted to stand on his face. Thought about it last night and we can't let it get to us like that last night, because it worked in their favour! I doubt there is any other player who will wind me up like that lad, but even if there is, I am going to totally ignore it because in the end what led up to the foul that was perfectly legitimate got me sin binned was a major factor in them getting back into the game. It was mentioned it's easy to get that ref on your side, which I totally agree with! As for their other two goals after that....
I was one of the, if not the most guilty party for the foul language being shouted constantly but was fairly common for all of us! If we keep that down, and keep our heads we will be a very tough side to beat with the ref not gunning for one of our players!
We SHOULD be a tough side to beat because the last set of results don't reflect our ability!
Lee Ormerod
can't believe you said that about the goofy lad! i've been thiking all night that when he said he's the best player on the pitch i wish i'd been quick enough to say, even if that were true you're also the the goofiest and ugliest tw@t i've seen all season!!!
we made some good plays and hit the post. two of their goals were tricklers over the line coz they mis-hit them. at the end of the day on paper 3-2 against the only unbeaten team looks respectable. it's just a shame it turned into the dirtiest game i have ever seen
David Jones
Didn't realise he was saying that. WHY did he feel the need to point that out? Inferiority complex big style with that boy, it would explain a lot of things. I can't remember our second goal, was it a Matt free kick ? And were we 3 - 1 down at this point?
Always on the verge of sh1tt1ng myself on a half open goal because you know it's easy but sometimes can be too easy. I tried to keep the power behind stu's lay off to a minimum but nearly back fired as keeper got back across and got a foot to it.
Stuart Chandler
I didn't see our second either. We were 3-1 down though. I was watching Big Stu throwing punches at someone!!!
Lee Ormerod
i'm sorry but even the likes of rooney if he was playing against workington reds wouldn't say summat like that. it just makes you look like an @rse pure and simple and asking to get taken out!
know exactly what you mean about the open goal. when andy hit the post i was totally unmarked on the edge of the box on the other side with an open net in fornt of me coz keeper was closing him down. didn't know if i wanted the ball or not though! i think when he shot though everyone just expected to see it bulge the back of the net. then in true crwon corkers style we weren't lucky enough with where it bounced it back to. if that had been other end 100% guaranteed would have gone to the unmarked opposition player
