Hard game t'night, boys. Their 'keeper was carrying an injury last week, so hopefully he still is. I hate the 18:00 kick-offs.

Crap goalkeeping again by that ugly fat bugga in t'nets, including poor distribution and not holding on to the ball. Luckily The Messiah was on hand when required to save us all...... Getting serious, there were 6 or 7 shots on goal I had to save, of which only a couple were difficult. This was again due to solid defensive work when required. It was good to see us back to playing how we can, and indeed how we should be. As for the poor distribution, please remember that I only have five seconds to release the ball, and at times last night I was holding on to it for longer because there was no one free to throw to. On the whole we played very well last night, although there were a few moments of madness. Another tough game for us next week.....

It's all quiet on your side today, we had a good result last night. I know 1-0 doesn't sound that good, but we did control them and they really didn't look like scoring. I'm please with the cover last night, three defending when they were on the attach and at least two going forward when we were. I think we still need to be more together when we attach. Not so much running forward, more forced/reminded to go by me prompting. We've got Bees Knees next week. We need to show that we got balls and be strong in the tackles. Again, I was last night and they were forced back, If more of us were like that, the ball would be in there half more and we would get more chances to shoot. I think we should all look at what DJ does this week and copy him, if he has beans for his tea, then we all have beans for tea. If he wears a blue shirt, we all wear a blue shirt. There's got to be something he does that the rest aren't.

1-0 against a half-decent team sounds fine to me. We battled hard last night and ground out three much needed points. And a clean sheet! Ok, we maybe didn't really look like we would get a second goal and got dragged a bit deep in the second half, but we hung on. I think we were probably tired, but we dug in and didn't let them have too many clear shots. If we were a bit fitter, we would probably be able to attack more as well defend. From recent games, I personally have been reluctant to go forward too much for fear of being caught with nobody at the back again.
