Three games to go, promotion in our grasp. We can easily beat Graham Raiders if we keep our heads and play our normal tight passing game. Cold, wet and windy tonight. Welcome to Cumbria, Jonathan. Over to Matt for final pronouncement on Tic-Tacs.

Actually it's going to fine I guess, the weather in my hometown was even worse this weekend. I like the weather to be cold and wet when I play soccer. I also like when it's warm and wet, but this is for other concerns.

Lets not be too defensive and leave him on his own. Three points wanted tonight so lets be positive. Same pleasing work ethic as last week. Jonathan's first night so lets make him welcome and remember that means he's buying the all the drinks tonight at teh pub as is the Corkers tradition.

*sigh* So, how did that happen, then? How on earth did we lose 2-0 last night? "Headless chickens" is fairly appropriate for periods of our play last night, as we allowed them to set the pace of the game and rush us into making passes. Their two goals were well taken and I couldn't touch either, but I accept some of the blame for the first as they came back at us after stealing the ball from my throw out. Having said that, there were again a couple of occasions when I had no-one to throw to, so was having to throw to space instead. And finally, just a passing comment again on arguing with the ref and having little sulks......... We can still go up, but the Universe will have to help us now. Stanwix Utd winning their last two games would help us

To be honest, I don't think there is any point crucifying ourselves over last night. Yeah, our touch at times may not have been good, or some of the passes maybe went astray. We have played way better. We know that. But we probably had as many shots as them and if two of them had gone in we would have had a totally different outlook on the game. I would say we had 10 or 11 shots last night. I know I had 5 myself. That obviously was enough to get something out of the game. Anyway. Two games left. Six points to play for. We'll give it our best shot against Window Shop (which is still a winnable game) then the Saints. Regardless of other results, I'm sure we'll all go out to win both games.

I was through on goal by very nice threaded passes on three occasions to be held back to some unreal shirt pulling (typical "slow defender" tactics) and I think it was the same guy.

You guys are very kind not to make me feel guilty about the game, but it's all my fault. They scored just a few minutes after I started playing, for the second one I had no time to come back in time to catch up my opponent as I had to go for a short pee I guess I wanted to make my first game something unforgettable for the team.... :(
