Friends

They say that love is blind
And friendship closes it's eyes,
That love entwined
Will truly make hearts rise.

That love eliminates time and distance
To bring us to
The memory of happier incidents
And the beat of hearts anew.

But as we leave our
Mr or Miss Right-Nows,
Our friends are there
To raise us from our downs.

Its friends that count
We all know that this is true
For there is no doubt
That they will always help you.

So how do we know
Who our friends really are?
It's when they show
that they really care.

Distance is no measure,
When friends know our worst fears.
Only a call away, sure,
To help wipe away those tears.

And time is nothing
When all the years disappear
With friends reuniting
To party-in the New Year!
