On the night, the better team won, I won't deny that. However, to put it plain and simple - they cheated. Despite it being an NHS staff competition in memory of a member of staff, The Corinthians put out a team containing only nine NHS staff. Five other players were not NHS staff. We stuck to the spirit of the tournament and had only NHS staff from within Informatics, including three players carrying injuries. Whilst we all want to win, the disrespect shown to the spirit of the competition left a bitter taste in many mouths.

A couple of months on, I feel obliged to post that we're now "over it" and look forward to congenial relationships being established with PCT players the next time we meet in a sporting competition.
