Here are the teams from available players, I have chose to put Jarvo in instead of Andrew as this is a team that have just been relegated from a higher league and may be a good side and we need a rock at the heart of defence. If Jarvo's man flu rules him out and can't play, Andrew will be drafted in.
I would ask all Separatists to come down and watch the game where we can talk about the team tactics and see what style of football we can expect in weeks to come.

There isn't a team in this league we should fear other than possibly Miltech Electrical, who are also new and therefore an unknown quantity. It will take a couple of league games for us to gel as a team and for the players new to the league to get used to the speed and aggression.

hey, we did good, but i felt a little lost when i moved up front. i wish i hadn't come off as i wasn't tired nor injured, but i wanted to give somebody else a go.
post-match: a little disappointed with my performance.

Definitely a TGR, if ever there was one !!!!
No-one should feel at all disappointed in their performance. There was consensus during the "post match analysis" that every player did well.
Considering we were playing a team that came down from the 2nd tier, this was a good solid start to the season, with everyone playing well and doing their part. We shut them down for large parts of the game and their one goal was a good one, but it was matched by an excellent equaliser from Richard Barrow. If I'd been offered 1-1 before the match, I'd have taken it. Suggestions in the 'post-match pub analysis' were:
- players must remember to come off when tired and remember to say which position they are playing in
- the sub who is ready to come on should stand to the side of the goal
- the sub who needs to rest should stand behind the goal
- the player coming off should raise their arms 'in surrender' as they head to the goal line
- Dave should shout all the time. Loudly.
- There was a consensus that the black shirts worked well and should definitely be our first choice kit

Good game last night, but we need to work on subs taking up positions that have been vacated by the player coming off because we lost shape as soon as the substitutions started and, from being fairly comfortable, appeared ragged... especially in the second half, but also there may have been a bit of fatigue involved. It was our first game; as we go on we will learn each other's game, how they play etc, and I'm sure that we'll see an improvement. Shame it’s a 2 week break until the next game!

The competitive element makes everyone step up a notch and everyone played well. Richie was very unlucky not to get a goal in those first five minutes, with a couple of his shots catching the framework out of reach of their 'keeper.
