Right everyone, listen up.
We are going to win today, and to do that we need to start thinking that we are better than last week. Instead of just watching the opposition, we need to bring the game to them.
I think we need to start doing some tactics, or at least telling some of our players how to play football. We have players that can play football, but do not necessarily know how to play in a team during a competitive match.
So, notes for the tonight's game...
- Need to talk to each other, let each other know where the other is - especially in defence.
- If one man is moving out of position (i.e. going up for a corner), tell the other so they can stay back.
- If they have the ball and we are over stretched, make sure that we don't run around like idiots. We should be able to pass a man to another of our players. (this will be too difficult to explain on emails, I'll do it before the match)
- We need to run harder and stand up to the challenges. Last week we were running along next to them, rather than muscling them off the ball.
- We have scored one goal in each match, so we either go for more goals, or we try and keep a clean sheet. We have only been hammered once this week and that was with a weakened squad. If we don't give the ball away and keep possession, then we will stand a good chance of winning.
- Start asking for the ball, and coming to meet the ball. Last week, we gave away a goal because we were on our heels.
If we cut out the mistakes, then we win the game.

At last the day had come and The Separatists could hold their heads high, as adrenalin and pride pumped manfully through their bodies. For on the green Elysian Fields of St Aidans, The Separatists put in a near flawless performance to win 4-0 over Miltech Electrical.
Let us not understate the power and nature of this performance - it could so easily have been 8-0 to The Separatists, because the shining white tubular framework of the target shuddered repeatedly as our spherical leather weapon was denied its rightful resting place on several occasions by the narrowest of margins.

I only watched around 10 mins of it but it looked like you played some great football. Lots of shouting (not just from Dave), everyone staying in their right positions, and everyone wanting the ball.
Perhaps Martin's Roddy Collins style of managing has worked?

And on the game, I thought we were near faultless. Plenty of talking, no mistakes made (apart from a few that can be excused) and we were wanting the ball more than them. All round, a good performance. I'm just gutted that we have to wait two weeks to play again.
