Ah-ha!! A chance for revenge on behalf of Informatics (Dis)United!!!
I played in goal for Mercedes Benz in their 6-0 win over Calder Foods and their defenders have a habit of drifting too far upfield, so a quick ball out of defence by us to a player hovering at half-way should see us get a couple of goals.

It’s going to be a hot one, so plenty of rest and hydration while you’re on the bench.
I’ve got my brother coming in tonight to give us extra muscle in midfield and defence tonight. He’s not the quickest, but he can play and should give us something different that we haven’t had before.
I’m not expecting an easy game tonight with the heat and Mercedes Benz’s table position, so we have to stick together as a team in defence and attack.
Just one simple message that should see us through tonight, do the simple things first and make no silly mistakes. If we do this, then they will find it difficult to get anything through.

sorry, sorry, sorry... both goals were as a directly result of my lack of man marking.
goal 1 - I left my man after coming forward to far.
goal 2 - I was on the edge of the box and could not make a choice between the three men in front of me. MT told me later, I should have pushed in front of one of them.

The second goal I have to also take some blame for, as he sent me the wrong way with my dive, leaving him over half of the goal to put the ball into.
The two goals were similar, and I did save another three or four from similar positions. We were a bit lax at defending the edge of the D last night.
At the other end of the pitch, we were guilty of not exploiting our chances. There were several occasions when we took too long to get the ball to open men, and also too long to take the shot on goal.
However, let us concentrate on the positives now. Another couple of players "blooded in" to The Separatists over the last couple of games, which gives us strength in depth for next season. Also, our performances really are not a million miles away from getting wins. Other than the "Calder Foods Anomaly", we've not conceded more than two goals in any game and that will be promotion chasing form next season if combined with just one more goal per game. As Martin has said, we need to start scoring more goals or keeping clean sheets.
We're into the home straight now. Three games to go, with this and the next game against "top of the table" teams. We mustn't be cocky, but we really are capable of beating all three teams - we must walk onto that pitch convinced of this fact!
Have faith, skill and fortitude and we shall overcome. In particular, do the basics - talk, play to your abilities, and play the quick ball forward when needed.
