Well, since I prefer not to swear in my efanzine, there is little I can say about the August performances, except to use the voice of Phoebe from Friends and say "Oh no..........."
It has been disappointing. Very disappointing. I mean, in Valen's name.......
The only possible ray of sunshine was the partial recovery of the team in the last two games. This was due in large to new arrivals Tommy Black and Paul Baker, although in the latter's case, a return. Also, Soley's return certainly helped too. However, Black's double yellow card incidents in the Mansfield game leaves you wondering if he is spending too much time with Mr Prokas......?
Anyway, new this month is one of my inevitable ramblings, a Star Wars parody. This came about following the aside in the chat room one Sunday morning referring to Luke Skyweaver. I plan to add one episode per month and build it up to the six episodes listed. I have started the ball rolling with episode outlines and, since I am not sure what the titles might be for the real episodes II and III, I have used my imagination. Scary thing that it is ;-)
We have seen some comings and goings since the start of the season to the squad and, to be honest, I still think things will improve and that this is only a bad start to a hopefully better overall performance.... Still, I thought that in the season that they dumped Mervyn Day.......
And finally..... The October issue of RIOA will be uploaded on Monday 4 October and will include Star Wars Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace.
