Well, I had an unusual New Year's Eve night out. My eldest brother and I went to my favourite Carlisle restaurant - The Spice Enterprise and had a great night. Lovely set meal, great atmosphere and a lot of fun. Many thanks to Urvesh, Mansingh, Pablo, Habib and all the other staff. We went home (tipsy, to say the least!) at 00:50 on New Year's Day, only for me to decide to play Internet Scrabble for nearly 90 minutes. Not easy when you're having difficulty typing!!
A poor showing over the festive period (two disappointing defeats) was partially redeemed with a 4-2 win over Hartlepool on New Year's Day. Even this needed a good second half after a poor first half. Hopefully this poor period was a mere blip and January will see a continued return to our good results.
