2000.04.01 - Carlisle United 0-4 Hull City

Travelled the 750 mile round trip from London to see this disgraceful performance at Brunton today... buoyed by the Swans result I was convinced that Carlisle would thrash the Tigers today...

In summary Carlisle were absolutely dreadful and you could say that their performance was disgraceful... this must surely rank as one of the worst performances of the season - along side Lincoln. It just goes to show that we cannot count our chickens.. I hate to say this but I cant honestly see Carlisle staying in the league after this headless chicken display.... quite frankly Carlisle just gave up after the third goal and Hull won with ease. I only hope that the Blues can prove me wrong next Saturday, but on this performance we most certainly are the worst side in the football league and deserve to get relegated!!!!

You cant really blame Keen for the goals as the whole team was inept.... I am so disgusted at the way the Blues performed today.. words fail me as to how bad we were, given that we comfortably beat Swansea on Tuesday. Hull had a team of youngsters and hadnt they only won one of their last nine?

It was one of those games when you could see that Hull were first to the ball everytime, Carlisle's passing was awful and all we seemed to do was punt the ball high and Hull's tall defenders comfortably cleared everytime. We didnt look like scoring once throughout the whole game... Hull werent good either but they created 5 chances or so and scored from 3.. and prokas looped an og to open the scoring... here I thought Keen was partly at fault as he appeared to be well off his line...

What a f*****g disaster.. I am gutted... Like Roger says you have to try and be positive, and I will, but after this performance I really see us getting thrashed at Chester...and sadly dropping out of the football league... Cant see us getting anything versus Cheltenham...

A very sad day in the history of Carlisle...
